Ten Tips for Being More Truthful

Ten Tips for Being More Truthful
By Barbara A, Lewis
1.   Make a commitment to tell the truth
2.   Tell someone about your commitment
3.   Think before you give a dishonest answer, explanation or reason.
4.   Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
5.   Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it
6.   Don’t indulge in little white lies or cover-ups
7.   Watch out for silent lies
8.   When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse
9.   Talk to yourself (Ask yourself, “How do I really feel about this? What’s the best thing to do? How can I keep my commitment to myself?”)

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students Part 13

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students
Part 13
If you feel you do not naturally have all those characteristics, then do not despair. Each of them can be accomplished by your own application. You can use meditation and visualization techniques to initiate your vision, and they can certainly be learned both for that purpose and for each step you take to reach your goals. Simply visualize your desired goals, that of being a star student, a champion of doing what is right, and see yourself working hard to become outstanding, and you’re your dreams and vision will materialize as you pursue these objectives. Setting goals and objectives can be a personal or business technique that can be learnt. You can develop inner strength to succeed if you apply yourself to doing just that; that will enable you to recover from setbacks more easily.

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students Part 12

Acquiring the Habits of Highly Successful Students
Part 12
What is important to you is that you, as you start to reach milestones in life in your ambitions, you appreciate your own achievements. It is a boost, of course, if others appreciate what you have done too, but appreciating yourself will strengthen your self- beliefs, and reinforce your determination to succeed. Some of the key characteristics you will find in those who are successful and perseverance, prepared to research, plan and work hard, practice a lot even when things do not seem to be going well, and an ability to recover and learn from setbacks. At the outset of whatever it is you are trying to succeed in, a strong vision of your future, planning, and setting yourself achievable targets can all play an important role.

Never use Drugs or Alcohol

Never use Drugs or Alcohol
It ruins lifes
And such

[Pick the date]

Be Wise- Never Use Drugs or Alcohol
Reserved: DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!There are many reasons to never use drugs or alcohol, even though the topic is a personal opinion. I can think of many why not to use them. All of the cliché things like, it’s bad for your health, it ruins your life, and it’s bad for your lungs and such. Many people lived perfectly fine doing those things but some don’t. When you begin to do drugs it messes with your mind and you become a whole different person. The whole world then revolves around you getting the drugs or being high. You then want to do anything or whatever you can to get the drugs and if you don’t you become very sick. That happens when you get into hard drugs like coke, heroin, crack etc. Drinking is also very bad even though it is legal. Drinking and driving is the worst. When you’re drunk you don’t know what you’re doing and the next morning you could wake up with a hangover and could have done stuff you said you would never do. When you become an Alcoholic all you want to do is be home and drink. You spend so much money buying beer and stuff nothing else matters. You also aren’t yourself and you may hurt people with your actions while drunk. Your life can go downhill from there. If you were in school you could begin to get bad grades and not care about your homework and such. If you have a job you might quit or get fired. At some point you may even lose your house and end up in the street with nothing but regret. It honestly isn’t worth drinking and if you drive you can kill innocent people and just feel guilty the rest of your life.
