It is very important to be prompt for many reasons.

First of all if you are prompt you will know exactly what to do in a assignment

And you will be ontop of the class or work, this will help improve your grade.

Not being prompt will cause you to fall behind in class because you will not know what

To do during your work time. In other situations it is good being prompt so you

Wont keep people waiting.If you were to go to a job interview and you were prompt

It will show how dedicated you are to that certain job and show how much you want it.

Also if you arent on time to school it can cause detention after.During those minutes you were late you could have missed something important that could have become homework but then you wont know what to do since you were not prompt and you missed out.Another reason being prompt is important is because if you have a job and youre not prompt it can make your boss mad and you get fired. It could have been a good paying job and because you werent prompt  you were fired.In many occasions, you not being prompt can turn bad. Sports,School,Job,etc. People could be waiting for you and if you get to the place late they would be mad and felt like they have wasted their time waiting. Being Prompt can keep you focused and on task at all times. Its probably the best thing to do and people would like you for that. If youre late a lot they might think less of you and think you are not worth their time and such. Its always best being Prompt and on time or even get there early to show how much it means to you.
